Alex Pietrus
His research interest focuses on the strategic partnerships between Africa and China, and between Africa and Europe. In particular, he studies their effects on the financial sector in Africa and how pressures arising from China's current involvement could influence the outcome of the European Partnership Agreement. (Supervisor: Brigitte Granville). (a.pietrus@qmul.ac.uk)

Steven Telford
Together, Brigitte Granville and Steven Telford comprise the economic contingent of a joint project that is being undertaken with the centre for commercial law studies (CCLS). His research is directed towards an economic analysis of the fair trade movement. As well as trying to offer substance in understanding why trade is deemed unfair, he aims to deliver a systematic assessment of what (if any) developmental impact fair trade is having on producers in the developing world. (Supervisor: Brigitte Granville) (s.telford@qmul.ac.uk)

Eshref Trushin
His research focuses on the economic incentives that underpin innovations within the biotech and pharmaceuticals industry, including the sustainable financing for R&D that will benefit developing countries. His research interests also include neuroeconomics and economic development of Central Asia. (Supervisors: Brigitte Granville and Pedro Martins). (e.trushin@qmul.ac.uk)
